The Austin Texas Solid Waste Services Department decided it needed a new name “that sounded less wasteful” since they do recycling and such. So they trusted the internet to come up with a new name.

Here are the results. The top vote-getter is “Fred Durst Society of the Humanities and Arts”

Most people would be upset to have a garbage plant named after them, but Fred Durst, classy gentleman that he is, tweeted: “I want to thank all of you who are helping me in Austin. I hope we win.”

Austin is now saying that they were simply information gathering, and will come up with their own name. But Austin, I IMPLORE YOU. MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

Sorry for the Durstoverload. No more Fred Durst for a while, I promise.
