So, you may remember, last week I laid out my fitness goals for Kinect PlayFit. If fitness/self-improvement/statistics are boring to you, feel free to skim over all of these. There’ll be more funny posts coming.

Anyway, lets check in on my goals!

1) I am going to get every achievement in Kinect PlayFit and all affiliated games I own.
This is coming along nicely. I have most of the achievements in PlayFit already:

The only ones left to get are “Burn 10,000 Calories” and a series of cumulative achievements ranging from “Burn 15,000 Calories between you and your friends” all the way up to “Burn 100,000 Calories between you and your friends”. I’m sure I could find a web collective going for these (people have already unlocked them) and add a bunch of strangers to my xbox live friends list to bang them out, but I’d rather not fill my friendslist with people I don’t know. That said, if you ARE on my friends list and intend to play any of the supported games (Dance Central 2, Sesame Street, etc.), download PlayFit and log those calories! I’ll get there with or without you, but getting to 100,000 by myself might take some time.

As for other games, I’ve made quite a bit of progress in Dance Central 2. I did 20 dance battles in a row (vs. a cardboard cutout of Gollum), which took about two straight hours of dancing, but knocked out a bunch of achievements there. At this point, I have pretty much every achievement except the 17 or so for 5-starring every song on every difficulty. My previous plan was to 5 star every song on easy, then play on medium, then 5-star on medium, then play hard, then 5-star hard. That seemed tedious, so I skipped straight to hard. So far, not doing terrible! If I can keep it up and improve a bit, that should cut down my cheevo-getting time considerably.

Finally, my spreadsheet estimates I will get the following cumulative achievements on the following dates:

2) I will be number one in the world on the PlayFit leaderboards.

Making progress! 88th in the world isn’t bad, but there’s still plenty more to go.

3) I will lose weight.
I’m going to start tracking this one here. I’m not going to publish my weight here, but I will track how much I’ve lost. So far, not much, only about 3 pounds or so, but for the sake of simplicity, I’m going to assume zero, set this week’s weight as the start weight, and do more accurate tracking next week. Next week’s post will have a number attached that I have either gained or lost.

4) I will beat the average calorie burn every day until I achieve at least one of the above goals.
